Group members have been working together to explore new ways in which artists can use motion capture technology within live performance. In Hear /Where the dynamic interactions of two dancers are captured as live movement data, and simultaneously translated to create musical and visual effects. In an age when human movement and location are routinely tracked with precision by GPS technology and mobile devices, we are constantly engaged in locating ourselves physically and psychologically in relation to the spaces we inhabit and in relation to each other. This inter-disciplinary performance explores issues relating to the body, time, space and place in order to raise awareness of the multi-sensory dimensions of experiencing the present. https://vls.uclan.ac.uk/Play/8053 Wed, 03 Jul 2013 10:58:46 GMT https://vls.uclan.ac.uk/Play/8053 Professor Jim Richards - Biomechanics Jim Richards is Professor of Biomechanics within the Allied Health Unit at the University of Central Lancashire.
